UX Prototype
Adobe XD is a tool for designing and prototyping user experience for web and mobile apps. During one of their XD Daily Challenges, I created a prototype for an image sharing app.
The ask
I created this project while trying out some of the new auto-animate features in Adobe XD. The prompts were to design an experience for pull-to-refresh and drag-to-rearrange.

Developing the brand
The idiom "a picture is worth a thousand words" was the (obvious) inspiration for the name.
Even though this is just a concept for a photo sharing app, I found it helpful to think about the brand and what would make it different from Instagram. Nick Stamas project Over Instagram got me thinking about where Instagram falls short. A Thousand Words would be a photo sharing app for photographers; both professional and aspiring.

Time to focus
The stark black on white layout allows the images to be the primary focus of the app, as they should be.
Centering the circular logo allowed me to use it as a branded preloader for the pull-to-refresh interaction.

Underexposed
I used this project to experiment. There's still a lot of screens and user flows to explore, but it's a start.
